Favorite Dress

Today I wore my brand new dress.  I love it.  It’s a little sundress in stripes of blue, green, creamy white and purple.  It’s soft and casual with a baby doll waist and dual triangle top.  I wore a cami under and a short sleeve shrug over.  I absolutely adore it.  I haven’t had a dress this comfortable in probably twelve years.  Since I found I love it so much, I was smart and went back and bought three more of the same style in different colors.  It seems as though every time I fall in love with an item of clothing, I realize I love it right as the last one is bought by someone else.  I’m very pleased that wasn’t the case today.

Between the different colored camis and the sweater shrugs, I have approximately eight different outfits with these four dresses.  I can make it look casual or dressy depending on shoes and accessories.  Yay for a wonderful new set of dresses!

I watched “The Sex and the City” movie this afternoon.  Talk about predictable!  I could’ve written it for them.  I watched with a good friend of mine and we were laughing at how it was borderline soft porn.  Much ass flexing.  Her four year old daughter kept toddling in, scaring the mommy half to death that she had witnessed some of the moaning flexture.

As far as my flare, it has officially calmed down.  I was much improved today.  Able to go to my friends’ house and the store.  Wowwee!  I’m hoping I won’t be too worn down tomorrow, but if I am I’ve made sure I don’t have much going on so I can nap.

I spoke to Ezekiel and Weasel this morning.  They are doing well.  Ezekiel expressed interest in sewing, so I passed along pattern websites and sites where you can order the patterns.  I’m going to send her a pair of spring loaded fabric shears.  They are so awesome!  I’m including some patterns, fabric and thread as well.  I can’t wait to see what she makes.  I would love it if I could grow old with her knitting and sewing and baking.  We’d be very fat and happy.  Weasel had posted a fun idea on her blog about going to flickr and using the search function to look up fundamental things about yourself.  Here are her instructions:

a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search (http://www.flickr.com/).
b. Using ONLY the first page, pick an image.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into Mosaic Maker. Change rows to 3 and columns to 3 (http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/mosaic.php).
d. Save the image and post it in the comments here, or on your own blog/journal/site and leave a link!
e. If you’re tagged, pass it on. And tag me.

The Questions:
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What is your favorite color?
4. Favorite drink?
5. Dream vacation?
6. Favorite hobby?
7. What you want to be when you grow up?
8. What do you love most in life?
9. One word to describe you?

Totally fun.  We chatted about the interesting choices that show up.  Here is my mosaic:

I’m not going to tag individuals, but if one feels so inclined to try it, please post your results here in the comments!  I’d love to see them.

Change of subject:

I had the most fantastic dream yesterday night.  That morning I woke up not letting anyone make a sound until I’d written it down.  It was a complete story, with character names.  I’m so excited to get started on the story.  I would really like to finish my other books, but this one is so fresh I’d like to do some work on it to get the creative juices flowing again.  I asked my family if they ever dream like they’re watching a movie and they all said no.  I suppose that’s a unique thing for me.  It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does I always wake up anticipating writing the outline quickly before I forget.  What a wonderful way to find inspirato. 🙂
